Ljungbyhed, Sweden – Monday, April 17, 2000 at 03:55:32 (EDT) my husband told me that Burns Lake was similar to Whistler; great skiing, snowmobiling, and nestled in the mountains. I didn’t believe him until I got here. It’s beautiful, has great lakes everywhere, lots of wildlife, and really wonderful, community-minded people. It doesn’t have the high priced real estate. I don’t regret spending the last 8 years here at all. Thank you, Burns Lake.

We have lived in Nanaimo most of our lives but the town is getting too big (70,000+). Any feedback anyone could give us on how you like living in Burns Lake would be much appreciated. We have 2 sons, 13 & 15. How are the schools? My husband and boys are big into snowmobiling. They want to know about that and are there many bugs in the summer! Thanks for your input!
